If you have never been to our clinic, you are a new patient. Before proceeding to online booking, please note the following:
Insurance Coverage for Naturopathic Care
Naturopathic treatment is not covered by Alberta Health Care but may be covered by private insurance.
Many private insurance companies do cover naturopathic medical care including consultations, lab tests, and treatments. We are able to direct bill more than 80% of the insurance companies providing coverage. Please note that each insurance company’s policy is different and will have varying levels of coverage. We strongly recommend that you check with your insurance provider to verify the terms of your coverage.
Please bring your insurance card to your appointment. If your insurance provider covers the cost of your treatment and if they allow direct billing, the insurance company will then provide coverage.
Of the insurance companies who will cover the cost of naturopathic treatment, coverage and payment method varies. Some insurance companies will pay us directly and others reimburse the policyholder. Payment method is dictated by the insurance company.
New Patient Appointment Type
When you click on the “Book an Appointment” button below, you will be directed to a calendar showing various appointment types.
New patients may book an initial consultation appointment only.
Appointments for specific treatments are not available to new patients because by law, we cannot recommend treatment or supplements without having performed an initial consultation.
Select “initial consultation” by clicking the “proceed” button on that page. The next screen will show the next seven days of available appointment dates and times. If no available dates/times appear, select a different date from the “Browse Dates” calendar field. Select your preferred date and time.
Required Information
After you have selected an appointment date and time, the next screen will ask for your name and contact information. These are required fields and must be completed.
The information you enter on this screen provides us with sufficient information to establish a patient account for you.
Please note that the name you enter will be the name appearing on your account in the system.
This screen will ask for your credit card information. New patients are required to provide a valid credit card number when booking an appointment. Your credit card will not be charged unless you fail to arrive for your appointment without having provided 24 hours prior notice of cancellation. Cancellation fees are explained in full in our Clinic Patient Policies and General Consent document.
Once you have entered the information click “proceed”.
A screen will then appear showing your requested appointment details. You can then add the date and time to your calendar.
Please be sure to add:
to your email and telephone contacts list to ensure that you receive appointment confirmation emails, reminder messages, and other electronic communications from us.
Intake Forms
You will then receive an “Immediate Action Required” email. This email indicates that our staff has received your request for an appointment and is processing it. The email will contain links to three intake forms:
These forms must be completed and returned within seven days for us to be able to confirm your appointment. If we do not receive your completed intake forms within seven days, your appointment could be cancelled.
Confirming Your Appointment
Once you have completed and returned the forms in the “Immediate Action Required” email, you will receive an “appointment details” email with important information regarding your confirmed appointment.
Waitlist
We recognize that the waiting time for some appointment types may not meet the needs of patients with advanced or acute (sudden onset and severe) conditions.
To try to meet the needs of patients who require urgent care, we have created a waitlist. The waitlist is a triaged register of patients who need to see the doctor at the earliest possible date. We sometimes get cancellations of booked appointments. When this occurs, we call patients on the waitlist to see if they would like to have the cancelled time slot. The offer to patients on the waitlist of an earlier appointment could happen on short notice.
If your health situation requires urgent attention and you would like to be on the waitlist for an earlier appointment, please click on the “Waitlist Request” link contained in the appointment confirmation email.
The link will take you to the waitlist form to be completed and returned. Please provide as much detail as possible. The details you provide allow our triage team to assess the urgency of your situation and the care required. Fully detailed information about your health situation could improve your priority standing on the waitlist.
While there are no guarantees, we are often able to secure an earlier appointment for patients on the waitlist.
Please note, you must have a confirmed appointment to register for the waitlist.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow for traffic and parking.
By clicking the Book an Appointment button below, I acknowledge that I understand that naturopathic treatment is not covered by Alberta Health but may be covered by private insurance.
