Medications not effective for back pain

A recent study by a British Medical Journal has show that certain medications like paracetamol (acetaminophen) is not effective in the management of spinal pain (lower back pain) and osteoarthritis of the hip or knee.

Acetaminophen, sold as Tylenol over the counter and prescribed as paracetamol is a common drug that is used as a first line of treatment in various types of body pain.
This new study published March 31st 2015 shows that this type of treatment is not only ineffective, but can actually harm the liver if used over long periods of time.
