Hello to all of our patients at Green Apple Health Care.
Yesterday we updated our patients on the requirements around wearing masks within indoor public places, specifically within Green Apple Health Care.
We have been told, by an official from the city of Edmonton, that in fact Green Apple Health Care qualifies as a “healthcare facility”, and we are exempt from requiring everyone entering to wear a mask.
We do encourage patients to consider wearing masks, however we respect the rights of patients to be able to make appropriate choices for themselves. As we are considered an exempt “health care facility” we are not legally required to ask you to wear a mask.
Dr. Nowazek will still be wearing a mask, however our patients are not required to wear a mask unless they feel it is helpful for them.
As mentioned in our update yesterday we will not deny service to anyone who is not wearing a mask or claims an exemption. If a patient wants a mask, we have masks for sale for $1 (while supplies last).
We hope this clarifies the requirement of masks in the City of Edmonton and specifically at Green Apple Health Care. As always, patient health and safety is our primary concern.
We really want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time. Thank you all for being patients of Green Apple Health Care. Our aim is to serve you better, and we strive to go above and beyond your expectations to do everything we can to improve your health.
More updates will be coming soon!
Yours in Health,
Dr. Michael Nowazek, BSc, ND
